Position Description:
Healthy Lakewood Foundation is seeking an experienced HR consultant who will conduct market research to establish an equitable employee benefits package that reflects the organization’s commitment to being an equitable employer in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio nonprofit sector. As a secondary priority, HLF requests initial guidance and recommendations related to the future development of an HR policy manual. Consultant agreement should include a framework for guidance and recommendations to develop core HR policies that will grow with the organization, including startup and growth phase implementation. As a third priority, Consultant will also facilitate a basic 360 assessment for the Executive Director and guide the HLF Board’s Executive Committee through the process of doing a one-year staff review with the intention of creating a process/model that can be replicated annually.

Essential Duties & Responsibilies:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced facilitator and human resources (HR) consultant with expertise working with teams to build consensus among diverse stakeholders, conduct market research, and develop a framework for competitive and equitable benefits packages for a health-focused community foundation. Client seeks a flexible and confident HR partner with expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion as it relates to employee benefits and HR policy development. Final service agreement (including terms and budget) will be determined based on recommendations made by the selected consultant(s) during the interview process. He/she/they will report to the HLF executive director and will facilitate meetings with HLF volunteers, community members, and board of directors as needed. HLF is committed to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in its internal and external practices. Demonstrated competence in equitable race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, (dis)ability, and other diversity factors in policy development and implementation is a priority.

Contract Rate of Pay:
Estimated range $5,000 – $7,000
